Job Description
The Soccer Scout will be responsible for identifying and evaluating talented soccer players who have the potential to join our organization or team. The Scout will attend matches, tournaments, and events to assess players’ skills, character, and potential suitability for recruitment. The role requires a keen eye for talent, excellent observation skills, and a deep understanding of the game of soccer.
Responsibilities
- Attend local, regional, and national soccer matches, tournaments, and events to identify potential
- Develop a network of contacts within the soccer community to stay informed about emerging players.
- Assess players’ technical skills, tactical understanding, physical attributes, and mental attitude.
- Provide detailed reports and evaluations on players’ strengths and weaknesses.
- Collaborate with coaching staff and management to understand the team’s specific needs and recruitment priorities.
- Identify players who fit the team’s playing style and philosophy.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of scouted players, including performance statistics, background information, and contact details.
- Establish strong relationships with players, parents, coaches, and agents.
- Clearly communicate the recruitment process, expectations, and opportunities within the organization.
- Be willing to travel frequently to attend matches and tournaments, sometimes on weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of soccer, including playing experience or coaching background.
- Strong observational and analytical skills to assess player talent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A network of contacts within the soccer community is a plus.
- Proficiency in using scouting software and tools.
- Frequent travel to soccer events is required.
- Irregular working hours, including weekends and evenings
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
