Job Description

The Olympic Club, a private member athletic and country club in San Francisco, seeks a part-time Soccer Coach. At The Olympic Club, our members enjoy 2 campuses, 19 sports, world-renowned golf courses, exceptional social and athletic programs as well as 18 hotel rooms and 5 Food & Beverage outlets. Our City Clubhouse is located one block from Union Square and within easy walking distance of the Powell Street BART station. Our Lakeside Clubhouse sits next to the ocean on the border of San Francisco and Daly City.

The Olympic Club offers employees free golf on Mondays at our Lakeside campus and a variety of sports and social events for employees throughout the year as well as lunch and dinner provided every day.

Position Summary: Assist the Head Women’s Soccer Coach in aspects of the Olympic Club Soccer, operations, facilities, events, and programs. This person is an active coach in these endeavors..

Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparation and conducting regular practices for team and individuals
  • Assist athletic training and conditioning
  • Provide technical support and training to athletes specific to the sport
  • Travel to necessary competitions
  • Assist in managing rosters and assigning individuals to appropriate positions
  • Support recruiting strategies.
  • Bolster teamwork, engagement, and dedication
  • Assist as needed with logistical duties related to practices and competition
  • Implement appropriate sporting techniques
  • Maintain necessary certifications and trainings required for coach specific sport

Estimated Weekly Job Responsibilities:

Coach an average of 4 hours a week (in-season) of regular scheduled Soccer Practices.
Travel an average of 3 times per month (in-season) to outside competitions.
Managing and leading current team in case of non-availability from Head Coach.
Admin work, planning, scouting, research and practice planning average of 1 hour per week.

Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate fluently in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Knowledge, Skill and Experience:
  • Minimum Experience required: 3 years in Soccer coaching.
  • Skills Required: Excellent verbal and written skills. Proven leadership & problem-solving abilities.
