Head Coach Position at OV Toros
OV Toros is the competitive soccer program of the Orchard Valley Youth Soccer League (OVYSL) based out of the Morgan Hill and Gilroy area. OV Toros is looking for experienced, qualified soccer coaches who fit into the vision and culture of the organization. OV Toros focuses development of its youth players and prioritizes this throughout the organization. OV Toros coaches work to develop the whole player, building life lessons into their coaching deliverables. OV Toros have high expectations of its coaches, both on the field and off.
Coaches can expect to be paid a competitive hourly wage and also are expected to participant in all club events and contribute as a members of a larger coaching staff.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with players and parents to clearly establish expectations and provide ongoing player feedback
- Plan and prepare each session to ensure quality and learning outcomes are achieved
- Provide session plans upon request from the Director of Coaching (DoC)
- Carry out all requests from your DoC in the timeline requested
- Communicate effectively in a timely manner (within 48hrs) using both verbal and non-verbal communication.
- Coach to the best of your ability, encourage and support your players
- Submit your hours on a provided timesheet and submit at the requested time.
- Show respect to players, coaches and officials at all times
- Guide, support & manage your parents to understand the expectations of their conduct.
- Comply to all laws of the game
- Work effectively with other OV Toros staff to provide a true club environment.
- Be positive about OV Toros and promote all aspects of our program.
- Represent the organization in a positive manner at all times
- Wear OV Toros coaching attire at all times when coaching and/or attending games.
- Exclusively represent OV Toros in a professional and ethical manner
- Work in conjunction with the OV Toros DoC and other coaches
- Complete all appropriate paperwork carefully, timely and maintain accurate records
- When required, attend all OV Toros training and operational meetings
- The coach will report to the Director of Coaching (DoC).
Qualifications
- Youth soccer coaching: 3 years (Required)
- Club competitive coaching: 3 years (Required)
- Coaching qualification (D license and above) (Preferred)
- Background check (Required)
