Director of Recreational Soccer

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the organization’s recreational programs and activities
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants.
• Provide leadership and guidance to staff members, ensuring that they are properly trained and supported in their roles
• Collaborate with community partners to enhance program offerings and expand outreach effort
• Work under and in cooperation with the organization’s president, executive director, and technical director
• Plan and coordinate special events, including competitions, performances, and fundraisers
• Monitor program budgets and ensure financial sustainability
• Evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required
• Coordinate uniform arrangements, coach gear, check-ins, registrations
• Answer emails, texts, and phone calls

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (such as Child Development, Physical Education, or Recreation)
• Previous experience (5+ years) in leadership roles, preferably in a similar organization or program
• Knowledge of soccer and grassroots needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to educate and motivate participants of all ages
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Sudden Cardiac Arrest certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Child neglect/abuse certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Concussion certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to pass a background check
