As the Head Coach of the Highline Premier FC (HPFC), you will be responsible for developing and implementing training programs that promote the development of fundamental soccer skills in players. You will also be responsible for teaching an understanding of the rules, concepts, and advanced soccer tactics. Additionally, you will model and foster cooperation, sportsmanship, and ethical behavior, in line with the standards set forth by the US Soccer Federation and the United Soccer Coaches (formerly NSCAA).

In addition, you will be expected to attend all team meetings, events, and games and provide timely feedback to players and parents.
The HPFC coaching staff administers a unique club curriculum that progressively challenges players to be disciplined while inspiring a balance between player growth and results-oriented outcomes. As a Head Coach, you are expected to incorporate this curriculum into your training programs and ensure that your team meets the performance benchmarks the club sets.
Depending on the age group, you will host training sessions for your team 2 or 3 days per week. In addition to regular training sessions, your team will participate in local and regional summer tournaments and fall and spring seasons in the Washington Premier League (WPL). Tryouts for most teams occur each May, with 8U and 9U teams trying out twice per year in April and December.
As a member of the HPFC coaching staff, you will report to the Director of Coaching and work closely with other coaches to ensure that all teams meet the club’s standards for player development and sportsmanship. With over twenty teams ranging in age from 8U through 18U for both boys and girls, and a membership of more than three hundred players, HPFC is committed to providing a high-quality soccer experience for all players, and we look forward to welcoming you to our team.
