Paris Saint-Germain Academy Los Angele’ soccer program develops players ages 4-17 to improve their technical, tactical and cognitive skills, as well as their strength and confidence, improving their overall understanding of the game.

We implement the official Paris Saint-Germain program and training methodology led by a highly qualified skilled and licensed coaching staff. We encourage national and international experiences through tournaments and boarding programs. PSG Academy LA transmits soccer values such as fair play, commitment, team spirit and exposes high potential players to opportunities at the collegiate and professional levels, in the U.S. and Europe.

Responsibilities

We are looking for head coaches to coach practices at our locations in Los Angeles (Griffith Park and John Ferraro fields) and games on weekends at various local fields. Occasional travel tournaments. Game format will either be 7v7, 9v9, 11v11.

As a coach, we will train you to deliver the PSG curriculum, as directed by the head of the program.

The coach is responsible for developing the skills of individual players and teams, assisting in the organization of the program, conducting practices, motivating players, and instructing athletes in game strategies and techniques.

Instructing players in the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport, supervising athletes during practices and competition, supervising training sessions to develop general fitness and specific soccer skills of the players.

Organizing and directing individual and small group practice activities/exercises.

Assessing players’ skills, monitoring players during competition and practice, and keeping the head coach and/or head of program informed of the athletic performance of the athletes.

Assisting with determining game strategy, assisting with choosing team players and substitutes, motivating players to maintain performance or improve, reviewing team performances with the players and identifying any issues to work on.

Following established procedures in the event of an athlete’s injury.

Modeling sports-like behavior and maintaining appropriate conduct towards players, parents, officials, and spectators.

Maintaining the equipment in orderly condition and assuming responsibility for its security.

Participating in special activities which may include, but is not limited to, award ceremonies and team-building events.

Arriving on time before the designated start time of any practice session 15 minutes, and arriving 30 minutes prior to the start of any game, and conducting structured warm-up sessions with appropriate equipment (balls, cones, bibs…) before games.
