COPA Soccer Training Center (COPA STC) is a 110,000 sq ft state-of-the-art soccer training wonderland located at Shadelands SportsMall in Walnut Creek, California. COPA STC utilizes much of the world’s most advanced training and assessment technology, some of which we develop ourselves, and some of which we have exclusively licensed for use throughout North America. We employ leading sports science techniques and advanced training methodologies in our quantitative assessment-based approach to the development of athletes of all ages and skill levels. Our elite level coaching staff leverages objective data to develop the technical, physical, and cognitive skills of an athlete.

Job Description

COPA STC are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Camp Coaches to join our team for the upcoming summer season. As a Camp Coach, you will play a vital role in creating a fun and engaging experience for camp participants while promoting skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Role Details:

• Coaching Youth Players 6-8Yrs | 9-11Yrs | 12-19Yrs
• Minimum of 24-hours on field coaching in small group setting
• 10 weeks of Summer Camps, with additional opportunity on Holidays
• Availability minimum 5 days per week, Monday-Friday
• Additional paid hours opportunities:

• Adult Leagues & Tournament – Administration & Refereeing
• COPA Administration & Manager-On-Duty Tasks

• Business Development & Sales
• COPA Operations & Maintenance

Responsibilities

• Deliver the COPA CAMP Product to the best quality and standard.
• Engage with aspiring athletes, youth to pro, on a daily basis.
• Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging technology fueled environment for athletes to thrive.
• Participate in staff development and outreach events.

Qualifications

• Patient, energetic, inspirational, and dependable. Able to teach youth athletes in a fun and engaging manner.
• Detail orientated when delivering the COPA Score, to ensure data validity.
• Creativity and reasoning to unlock player’s potential.
• A desire to serve and develop youth athletes to their potential.
• A positive disposition in dealing with parents, kids and fellow employees.
• A growth mindset that contributes to your own personal development.
• Take pride in maintaining the high standards of our elite facility.
• A dependable team player who can collaborate with others.
• Experience with Camp Coaching
• Physical effort and exertion, which may include all exercise and sports-related movements, maintenance of equipment, lifting weights up to 45 pounds, and prolonged walking and standing.
• Ability to learn and become comfortable with our technology, operating software, and hardware which is integral to our facility and curriculum.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven time management and organizational skills.
• Solution-orientated in difficult situations –particularly related to customer issues.

What We Offer

Competitive base salary plus a performance-based incentive bonus allowing for substantial expansion of total earnings for the high-performance individual.
