Soccer Coach

The East Orange Soccer Academy (EOSA), a community based organization that promotes the youth through the game of soccer, is looking for an enthusiastic and responsible youth soccer coach. The ideal candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills to work with children of various ages, and will be responsible for designing, implementing and successfully delivering weekly session plans in line with the playing philosophy and ideology of the organization. The chosen candidate will be in charge of 2 youth competitive travel teams along with running various after school and extracurricular programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement training sessions to enhance players’ skills and performance.
• Plan and deliver sessions according to the club philosophy.
• Provide constructive feedback to players to support their development.
• Plan and coordinate team strategies for matches.
• Foster a positive and inclusive team environment.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all players during training and matches.

Requirements

• Must hold USSF “D” license minimum (mandatory).
• High school or college soccer playing experience (preferred).
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work with children of different skill levels and ages.
• Certification in CPR, First Aid, or Lifeguarding (preferred)
• Proficiency in behavior management techniques.
• Minimum of 1-year experience working for a structured youth soccer organization (preferred).
