Soccer Coaches Wanted. We are looking for highly energetic individuals to teach students attending our after-school programs in the North Orange County area. A future coach can grow as a leader and mentor for youth soccer athletes. This position provides the opportunity to work with individual, small groups, and team settings
Responsibilities
- Teaching and Coaching: Provide instruction and coaching to students in after-school programs in the North Orange County area. This includes working with individuals, small groups, and team settings to improve their soccer skills
- Mentorship: Act as a leader and mentor for youth soccer athletes, encouraging their growth both on and off the field
- Engagement: Manage and keep children engaged in classes, ensuring a productive and enjoyable learning environment.
- Teamwork: Work within a specified student-to-coach ratio (20:1), effectively managing large groups of children.
- Schedule Management: Be available for coaching sessions after school until 4:30/5pm from Monday to Friday.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Age Requirement: Candidates must be 18 years or older.
- Certifications:
- Must possess a soccer coaching license.
- A TB test is required.
- Must pass a Live Scan (background check).
- Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of soccer coaching experience is preferred, especially coaching kids aged 5 to 12.
- Previous experience or demonstrated ability in working with kids and managing large groups effectively.
- Skills and Attributes:
- Dependability is crucial for consistent coaching.
- Must have a genuine liking for working with children, demonstrating patience, enthusiasm, and the ability to engage young learners.
- Leadership and mentorship skills to foster growth and development in young athletes.
