Irvine Tigers Soccer Club is a newly founded soccer club with a passionate vision for nurturing young talent and promoting the beautiful game in our community. As we embark on this exciting journey, we are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic soccer coaches who are eager to be part of building a club from the ground up. While we currently have a limited number of kids and teams, we are determined to grow and offer a top-notch soccer experience for young players in the Irvine area.
This position is offered on a contract basis and is part-time due to the club’s current stage of development. Compensation ranges from $30 to $40 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Job Description
As a Soccer Coach at Irvine Tigers Soccer Club, you will play a pivotal role in developing young soccer players aged 5-10. You will work closely with our budding talent to instill a love for the sport, develop fundamental skills, and foster a strong sense of teamwork and sportsmanship.
Training Location and Dates:
Los Olivos Community Park, 101 Alfonso, Irvine, CA 92618 Soccer A
Fridays: February 9th – May 24th, 2024 at 4:00 PM – 5:15 PM
Sundays: February 11th – May 19th, 2024 at 3:00 PM – 4:15 PM
Responsibilities
- Soccer Training: Design and implement age-appropriate soccer training sessions that focus on skill development, tactical understanding, and physical conditioning.
- Player Development: Assess and monitor the progress of young players, providing constructive feedback and guidance to help them reach their full potential.
- Club Building: Contribute to the growth and development of Irvine Tigers Soccer Club by actively recruiting new players and promoting the club within the community.
- Coaching Excellence: Stay up-to-date with the latest coaching methodologies, strategies, and best practices to ensure a high-quality soccer program.
- Game Days: Coach teams during scheduled games and tournaments, emphasizing the application of skills learned in training.
- Mentoring: Serve as a positive role model and mentor to young players, fostering their passion for soccer and promoting good sportsmanship.
- Club Structure: Collaborate with club leadership to help establish and refine club policies, procedures, and long-term goals.
Qualifications
- Passion for soccer and a genuine desire to work with children aged 5-10.
- Previous coaching experience, particularly in youth soccer.
- Familiarity with club structure and operations is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, primarily on Fridays and Sundays.
- Commitment to the club’s mission and vision.

- Background Check: All candidates must pass a Child Abuse History Clearance and Background Check to ensure the safety and well-being of our young athletes.
- CPR/First Aid Certification: Possession of CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Work Eligibility: Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
