SF Elite Academy is the only soccer club in San Francisco offering a full player pathway for boys and girls. We offer opportunities for the competitive, college-bound athlete and players at all levels to develop their skills and love of the game. Our boys and girls teams participate in competitions associated with NorCal Soccer, ECNL and Girls Academy with opportunities for players between the ages of 8 to 19. We are committed to developing individuals, players, coaches and teams.
Coaches are the most important role at SF Elite Academy. You will play a critical role in developing the next generation of soccer players, growing their love of the game, enhancing their skills and tactical understanding, and demonstrating the core values of our club to youth players maturing into young adults. We have openings for coaches who can work with both older and younger teams, providing age-appropriate training and mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality training sessions aligned with the SF Elite Academy curriculum and philosophy.
- Foster a competitive, supportive, respectful team environment emphasizing player development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Create a year-round schedule with your club director to include training sessions, games, tournaments, and camps.
- Evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback to support individual and team growth.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and club staff to ensure a cohesive and positive experience for all involved.
- Participate in club events, meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Recruit players to fill roster spots when needed.
- Maintain clear and open communication with families and players to ensure a professional customer service experience.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a soccer coach, with a strong understanding of the game, coaching techniques, and training methodologies.
- USSF Grassroots Certificate in coaching is required with preference for candidates with higher-level licenses and certifications from USSF, NSCAA or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire players of all ages and skill levels.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and travel for games and tournaments as needed.
