Youth Soccer Coach

Job Description

Mill Valley Soccer Club (MVSC) is seeking dynamic, highly qualified youth soccer coaches for the spring and/or fall competitive soccer program for ages 6 – 16 years old. Youth soccer coaches are responsible for the overall development of their assigned teams, preparing and managing weekday training sessions and coaching weekend games. Coaches play a key role in development of the child as not only an athlete/player, but also as a person.

Responsibilities

• Conduct team training sessions weekday afternoons between the hours of 3:30 PM and 7:30 PM two to four days per week. Schedule depends upon the number of teams the person is coaching.
• Coach weekend friendly, league, and tournament games
• Provide player development feedback to players and parents
• Ensure a fun and safe environment for all players

Qualifications

• Must be over the age of 18
• Playing and coaching experience
• Strong knowledge and expertise in coaching youth
• Holistic approach to coaching: Develop the person first and the athlete second
• Communication skills
• Integrity; reliability; and professionalism
• Collaborative
• Coaching licensure
